NakedJen Film Festival 2017

It's an annual tradition, started by NakedJen, to cram in as much movie watching on Christmas Day as possible. I joined the NJFF revolution in 2007 or so, and every year since have been partaking. Sometimes even in person with NJ herself who lives in a remote part of America, out west somewhere. This year, I will be in NYC.

The pre-festival festivities have already commenced with The Post (see review below, spoiler -- I do not recommend).

Here are some of the movies I'm thinking of for tomorrow...

  • Molly's Game
    • Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, lots of stars. How bad could it be?
  • I, Tonya
    • Tonya Harding.
  • Lady Bird
    • Gets great reivews.
  • Phantom Thread
    • Paul Thomas Anderson film, starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
    • These two brought us one of the best films ever -- There Will Be Blood.
    • I rate this a must-see.
  • The Shape of Water
    • Guillermo del Toro, what more is there to say?
  • Bright (on Netflix)
    • The reviewers hate it but viewers love it.
    • Just for that, I'm in favor of it. 💥
  • All the Money in the World
    • Ridley Scott. About the Getty kidnapping. They removed Kevin Spacey at the last minute.
  • Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story
    • I always want to know more about the great Hedy Lamarr.
